AimScanWhy is my score different from the club result?
Check the folder settings: the scoring method (inward is standard), the calibre and decimal scoring. Also check with Show rings that the rings match the printed lines. Torn holes and overlapping shots can also be read differently by a person and by the app. In a match the official result always counts.
How accurate is the scan?
On a sharp, backlit photo taken straight from above, hole centres are typically found within a fraction of a millimetre. Accuracy drops with blur, steep angles, shadows and ragged holes. You can always correct a shot with the Eagle Eye loupe.
Can AimScan read targets with several bulls?
Yes. Each bull is detected and shots are assigned to the nearest one.
Does AimScan work without internet?
Yes, completely. Nothing is sent to a server, so it works at any range.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, login or subscription.
I bought AimScan on iPhone. Do I need to buy it again for Android?
Yes. Apple and Google sell apps separately. On iPhone and iPad with the same Apple ID, or Android devices with the same Google account, you buy once.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
On the same platform it moves with your device backup or transfer. Between iPhone and Android, make a backup with photos and restore it on the new device. See Backup and privacy.
Can my coach see my results?
Only if you share them. Send a PDF report or image from the session, or a CSV export.
Can I score electronic target results?
You can enter shots by hand on a blank target of the right discipline. AimScan then calculates all statistics as usual.
Which chronographs can I import from?
Any chronograph or app that exports a CSV file with a velocity or speed column, or a plain list of numbers. AimScan detects the column and the unit.
